Panacea’s perfect blend: Crafting cocktails and conquering financial challenges
article
Dany Denith, the innovative mind behind Panacea, has always dreamed big. From crafting initial plans, followed by years of hard work, Panacea are now settled as an award-winning staple in the Auckland foodie scene.
Panacea isn't just another bar; it's a cocktail haven unlike any other. Instead of the traditional bar setup, Dany and his team, Theo and Sheena, operate a cocktail kitchen where they meticulously craft each drink using precise distillation methods and unique flavour combinations.
Opening Panacea was a journey filled with both excitement and challenges. The first day of business being a culmination of years of planning and passion.
The team’s dedication paid off as they saw their vision come to life, offering a one-of-a-kind experience to their guests.
This experience not only took the collective creativity of some of Auckland’s most innovative hospitality personalities, but also supportive financial solutions from SilverChef.
"From the beginning, SilverChef believed in our unique concept and provided the flexible financing we needed to bring Panacea to life. Their support was crucial in turning our dream into a reality," notes Dany.
Finding the right recipe for quick success
Running a new hospitality business comes with its own set of challenges, particularly in managing costs and cash flow. This is where SilverChef stepped in. The high upfront costs of essential equipment like fridges, freezers, and glass washers were a little tricky for Dany and the team at Panacea.
SilverChef’s flexible funding allowed them to afford the equipment they needed with low weekly payments, easing the financial strain and making the dream of opening Panacea possible.
"Starting up was at times a little overwhelming, especially when considering the finer details when it comes to finance," Dany recalls.
"SilverChef's funding allowed us to stay on top of our cash flow and make sure everything was perfect from day one. Their support let us build the exact business we’d always dreamed of building, while also keeping us prepared for any changes we may need down the road.”
Let the cocktails flow
Thanks to SilverChef, Panacea was able to thrive from the start. The seamless process of working with SilverChef, from fast approval to quick access to the necessary equipment, meant that Panacea could open its doors and showcase its unique approach to cocktails without any delays.
As a one-of-kind experience that would challenge perception on what a cocktail bar can be, the much-needed financial support ensured a more-than-solid start to life in Auckland’s bustling city centre, while also ensuring that Panacea’s borrowing capacity remained unaffected, providing the flexibility needed to adapt and grow.
Looking to the future
With Panacea now firmly established as one of Auckland’s most warm and welcoming dining experiences, Dany is excited about the future. The team is eager to continue innovating and offering their unique cocktail experience to more guests.
And with the famously barless-bar having cemented itself as a local favourite amongst Auckland’s hospitality scene, that innovation is always only one sip away.
"With SilverChef in our corner, I'm absolutely thrilled about the future. With their support, we’ll be able to continue on our journey and change the way people think about cocktails and how we experience them," Dany explains.
